Vogue has revolutionised the fashion industry since the reign of Anna Wintour in the late 80’s. Since then, the publication kept it’s reputation for being a fashion bible. The September issue is the most important issue of any fashion magazine. The Vogue September issue lives up to the description of a fashion bible as the issue comes up to eight hundred pages. R.J Cutler’s documentary presents what goes into the making of the 2007 US Vogue September issue. If you’ve ever had dreams of working for Vogue, the documentary will show you what it takes. Cutler’s documentary also covers the personal life of editor, Anna Wintour. If you’ve seen The Devil Wears Prada you can see the parallels between fact and fiction, Miranda and Anna. However, the documentary shows a realistic portrayal of a determined, modern businesswoman rather than the stereotype of a demanding, bitch of a boss.
